LG Optimus Pad Introduces 3D Glasses to Touchscreen Tablets

The huge success of the Apple iPad has finally confirmed the arrival of the tablet PCs into the big stage and it looks set to continue with the launch of the LG Optimus Pad. This is because this is the tablet PC that will be totally changing the outlook of the industry. It will be the first tablet PC to have the 3-D functionality incorporated.
This will be coming at a time when most television sets do not come with the 3-D capabilities, unless otherwise you go for the high-end television sets. Apart from giving the users the 3-D option, the LG Optimus Pad will also be providing cutting-edge technology in the form of the number of technologies that are present starting from the screen.

The screen will be an 8.9 inch display that can handle the 3-D content, although it would be a screen that will be very special 3-D glasses to be used by the user in order to obtain the 3-D effect. Even though this may be compromising on the portability and the overall user friendliness of the tablet PC, it is something that has not been seen previously and this is a welcome step forward in the tablet PC segment. The arrival of the LG Optimus Pad will be without doubt causing a number of manufacturers to also incorporate this high-end technology, thereby making the tablet PC segment better as a whole.

The LG Optimus Pad will be capable of recording the 3-D content as well apart from the task of playing back them. The usage of the dual cameras on the back will be solving the need for having a separate digital camera for recording the 3-D content. It is not like that there are plenty of 3-D cameras out there. The 3-D functionality within a digital camera will be present only if you go extremely high end, which will be putting a lot of users out of reach. The LG Optimus Pad will also be having the capability of playing full HD 1080 p videos, but this feature seems a little bit primitive when compared with the 3-D playback capabilities. The dual cameras on the back can also record the videos in the full HD 1080 p format, but it will be in the 2-D mode. The camera can record of the 3-D videos only in the 720 p format. The LG Optimus Pad uses a dual core 1 GHz processor that will be bringing the best out of any operating system.

It will be having the Android 3.0 operating system to take care of and it is one of the latest operating systems have been launched in the last few months. Apart from having a number of changes over from the Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system, this is expected to be exclusively available only on the tablet PCs, which speaks about the performance required to run this operating system. The LG Optimus Pad will be available for around £ 250 on a contract basis.
